Best D&D Adventures

Wizards of the Coast did a Twitter poll recently to discover what fans thought were the best adventures. The best adventures were, for the most part, adventures I grew up playing, which means not 4e adventures. Ravenloft finished as number one. The author uses this as a chance to kick off another poll about the delve format used in 4e adventures. Having read exactly 0 of the 4e adventures, what is the delve format, how does it compare to White Wolf's scenarios and is it any fun for the GM, as well as the players?

Should you prefer not to click through, the list is:
Ravenloft
Red Hand of Doom
Desert of Desolation
Keep on the Borderlands
Night’s Dark Terror
Tomb of Horrors
Village of Hommlet
Against the Giants
Burnt Offerings
Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh
Temple of Elemental Evil

I am a bit shocked and dismayed that City of the Spider Queen is not on that list.
