Green Ronin decided to release the "signature" heroes for 3E M&M for free online so that buyers of DC Adventures would not be forced to pay extra to have them. They are:

  • Mongrel - A paramedic bit by a dying werewolf who uses his powers to help people in ways that he was never able as a normal man.
  • Rocky - A mutant with a body of stone. A former child star he has decided to dedicate his life to the greater good.
  • Ultramarine - Pilot of an advanced power armor submersible suit invented by her father. She fights the good fight to honor him.
  • Victor - The Scion of the Prophet family and the Vanguard group, Victor brings old school ideals into the 21st Century.
  • Dragoneye - A Chinese immigrant who has been bestowed with great mystic powers by a dragon. Dragoneye has become a public hero and defender of his community.
  • Vortex - A college student granted the power to open dimensional portals by an experiment gone awry. Vortex seeks to make up for earlier abuses of his powers.
  • Kid Robot - An artificial being, an AI given a robotic body built around a state of the art force projection device. Rid Robot is a hero because what kid doesn't think superheroes are awesome?
  • Xeno - An alien stranded on Earth an bonded to a human host, Xeno was a freedom fighter on her home world, and continues her battle against evil and oppression here on Earth.
  • Princess - A co-ed with tremendous strength and physical ability. She fights because it is in her nature to be helpful to others.
  • The Rook - A dot com multi-millionaire who decided to become a hero as a way to use his money for good after being inspired by the other supers out there. The rook fights crime with gadgets, gear, and training

completely different than what I thought you were talking about...
My Fellow NPrimers I have not been fully truthful with you. I did do it. I did it with my thing and liked it. I have done it many times and many ways and for that, I am sorry...

So, by the edited title of the thread, is this a description of a Seattle-based supergroup? Or are these the main personalities on a more broad range?

Short Answer: Yes, they are based in a city actually named Emerald City which is near Seattle in the NW.

Long Answer:  GR is expanding their Freedom City setting to the West Coast with a new setting in the same universe.  Emerald City is meant to be in the northwest, near Portland and Seattle.  It has, until recently, laid below the Super Hero/Villain radar.  These characters are being set up to be used either as starting PCs (hence the PL 10 builds) or as NPC heroes just getting started in that city/setting.  They all also have a sidebar detailing how they could be used as villains, which is a nice touch.

I most likely will make use of some builds as basis for my games. Thanks for sharing!
