metaphysician
An idea for an alternate rule in how Mastery and Hypermovement interact: instead of treating the movement component of Hypermovement as an Effect, treat it as a Range. Movement is calculated as normal, but the unit of movement is changed from meters to kilometers ( or hundreds of kilometers, etc, for the higher levels ). Damage bonuses and suchlike are treated as Effects, and work like normal. The net result: adding mastery 1 to hypermovement increases movement rate a thousandfold, resulting in a base speed at Hypermovement 5 of approximately Mach 1000, or about 0.005c.Thoughts, comments? Forge
my gut reaction on this without doing any reading or posing any counter-argument is that this seems a little too much. A x1000 bonus for Mastery 1 seems extreme.
metaphysician
OTOH, that's already the scale of bonus you get for range and area.
Alex Green
I'm assuming that what we're trying to do is allow some sort of "fly to the moon or other planets" power.I think we need to just say we need a new (Q6 min) power, Light Speed or something similar.
