Well, the other campaign idea I have starts as a year one game that rapidly diverges in 2001 to nova-ify 911 a little bit then rejoins some of canon, however by that time the PCs are usually a a little more Authority than JLA, complete with sentient mobile fortress. Then I run some of Worldwide and then there's another split and then it takes off on its own (though it usually ends with the end of the world). Trinity eventually factors in some though not in the traditional way...

There's also my Comix! game where I have origins rules/templates for character Gen such as Mutants, Magic users (guys who cast spells), Altered X (example: captain america), Arcane X (examples: werewolf/vampire), Gearheads (techies like Iron Man), Aliens (Like that superfella or the Xenomorph) and more. Starting Mutants are capped at Quantum 3 and only getting 1 power (or sticking to a very tight theme like Storm) but being able to buy as many variations of it as they can afford Example:

Omnibeam is a Mutant with quantum 3 and Quantum Bolt Kinetic Energy 4. He also has It at 2 with the Area extra and 1 with MIRV. So he can make very focused attacks that are strong area blasts that are less powerful or slightly weenie blasts at a wide variety of targets. With practice and XP he can get better at each and even combine them (purchase additional extras later). Mutants are also just damn better than humans and can buy up to 1 dot in each mega attribute, they can only exceed one dot if it's in their theme though

most other character types are denied megas altogether the exception being alter and arcane Xs.

Gearhead Characters (like tony stark, hank pym and technically Mr. Hyde of marvel comics) buy powers that cost quantum or fuel or ammo etc. and are usable a limited number of times per scene, then they need to cool down or recharge etc. However Gearheads can start at Quantum 4 Like specialist magic users but choose any powers they want like generalists. They purchase powers at 1 nova point cheaper at char gen. example 1 point spent on Psychic sheild gets you two dots but 5 dots costs 4 points. Powers are only usable 1 time per scene per power rating so you either have a wide variety of weak powers you cycle through or a few strong powers you can use repeatedly.

All characters have a the option of a Dual Origins merit that allows them to be a Tech wielding Alien or a Werewolf Shaman or maybe a Mutant Necromancer or something. Basically you get a second Quantum trait appropriate to the other origin and it starts at 1 and you have to spend 5 of your starting nova points to buy stuff associated with the secondary origin. From there you have to buy it up with XP and buy the associated powers from the ground up. This means you can't have the secondary origin of a Specialist Magic user since they need a quantum of 4...

It's all so intricate

If you want to play a more "Batman-ish" PC you just play an adventure! Daredevil since the only way a "regular human" is going to keep up is plot devices anyway.

I have a lot of special rules for my Comix! setting, they immensely diversify the characters though and bring classic comic book elements into the fray like Science versus Magic and Mutants versus Aliens.

For instance, Magic characters and Gearheads, Alter and Arcane Xs name their own Quantum trait (mutant call it Gene Factor). A Magic character might call it his Adept level or Sorcerous Potential while a Demon Summoner might call it their Pact.

Magic comes in 2 flavors, Specialist and Generalist. Specialists usually know one spell that is incredibly versatile like Shapeshift (as the power) or Summon Monster (Quantum Construct) and then based on their rating in the power, their intelligence and a Backgroundt called Repetoire a number of forms to change into or creatures to summon. You don't build shit on the fly either. When you make the character you build the forms and determine how many successes they take, each success is one point of repetoire, repetoire is equal to Quantum+Power rating+Intelligence+Background. So you can have a limited number of forms that are very strong or a wide variety of relatively mediocre ones. Same for summoned monsters, you can summon hordes of imps but just one Baalor. It's super involved but it makes the characters so... special and unique.

A Healer has the Heal power (now a suite power with functions like Detox and replace/repair limb, revivify (can raise the freshly dead with enough successes) as techniques).

Elementalists get Elemental Mastery.

Diviners get Pretercognition and such. My rules for Precog are offensively good, it's like immensely expensive dramatic editing and super Luck combined.

Generalists (like Gearheads) have the capacity to ultimately develop every single power in the game (At a monumental XP cost if they're making it up as they go), even those Specialist spells.

Alter Xs are humans (or dogs or aliens or whatever but usually humans) that have had some type of scientific process performed that has elevated them above the rank and file, Arcane Xs are the same but due to something magical (like a werewolf bite or inheriting The Darkness). They build their characters as novas no limits, up to 8 points of Taint howeverit has no mechanic effect, no social penalties no craziness, however these characters (in sticking with traditional comic themes) tend to stay the same for decades. When was the last time captain america got a power bump or developed a new power? so all XP costs on anything other than mundane skills attributes or backgrounds are doubled. You start strong, most other characters are limited to very specific functions or level 1 and 2 powers and a Quantum of 3 at char gen. the Alter and Arcane X characters hit the ground running but eventually get outdone. However, you can offset this disadvantage by being Dual Origin. it is slow going but you see bigger changes in the character than you do saving XP.

The setting's primary antagonists are called Daemons. Basically something stupid was done that broke the universe so it incarnated a Daemon for every single concept in the universe. Big concepts have wide purviews so the Daemons of big concepts usually have lots of lesser Daemons answering to them. they're antagonists because a lot of them have decided they want their purview to be more prominent, further the bureaucracy has gotten all screwed up because of human abstraction like the Daemon of Monopoly the board game having to answer to the Daemon of Games and business Monopolies (just because of the name).

The rules for Daemons are trippy and I wouldn't want a PC Daemon until folks are more familiar with the finessing of the rules. You only get one power really and that's Influence but it functions more or less as whatever power you want provided it's within your purview. Your purview is based on your Dominion/Quantum score so if you have Dominion 1 you might be the Daemon of wool blankets, so you might be able to carry a wool blanket around and throw it at people like an immobilize effect. Dominion 2, Daemon of Blankets in general, so maybe this is a picnic blanket, you unravel it and there's food inside, or a beach blanket so you shake it and a bunch of sand comes out like a weak strobe effect. The Influence power rating will fluctuate based on how far you stretch the traditions surrounding your Purview, the less the connection the lower the rating. They also get body mods and physical qualities that bring them in line with their purview so a Daemon of wool blankets might look like a sheep or something, it's crazy (though these give the character a way to impact the game when outside their purview). Yes Daemons are like Nobilis characters

I love the idea like it's my kid but very few others seem ll that interested... feel free to repost any part of this that you think might drum up some interest.
