  1. Ryoma

    [Dark Fantasy] The Old Ways

Ryoma looked to Djane. "We really seem to have little choice. We can turn back and return to a town with no one there, and possibly leave... or continue. If we don't play along, they could do the same to us as they did to her. I would prefer that not happen, so once she finishes, I say we continue."

Ryoma had Kuronicht move off aways even as he nodded to Djane. "Take the reins, keep us steady and ready to move if needed." He held his hands and a large Eldar bow of Gleaming metal appeared in his hands, with an eldritch arrow forming as he drew back on it.. "Let's see how it likes this." He loosed the arrow hoping it would fly straight and true, and end this quickly.

Ryoma sat back and waited, his hands guiding Djane's to the reigns for a moment so he could have his free should he need them to draw his weapons. "Let's hope it's nothing." He kept an eye behind them, in case it was an ambush.

He nodded. 'There's no telling. Still I believe in equality in compensation." With her arms around him, she felt more like a real woman than a genie. He mused happily that perhaps she was just as she said, a normal girl trapped by circumstance. If that situation didn't hit home, few would. He turned his mind to the road. "His Name is Kuronicht. He was a gift from a former employer."

    [Dark Fantasy] The Old Ways

Ryoma shook his head. "He's not going to be able to carry four of us." Watching Kor'ki, he shrugged. "Ahh well come on then let's follow him, else we'll never figure out what's going on. "With that he clicked his tongue a few times and the Pegasus began trotting behind Kor'ki.

Before they got too much further, Ryoma let out a whistle. In a few moments, a Jet black horse trot up to them, Which He took hold of the reigns and pulled himself up onto the saddle. The horse wasn't like most, which was obvious, due to the massive black-feathered wings at its side. Ryoma looked to the others, and looked to the path. "Oh this bodes so well, one down and we're not even to the job offer yet." He shrugged, looking to Djane, "Come one if you want to come Djane. This will take us where we need to go, I believe, or not. It beats the ghost town, at any rate." He offered her a hand up onto the pegasus, ready to head on down the path.

Ryoma nodded. "I'm Ryoma.." He trailed off, stopping from adding anything beyond that, and nodded to Djane. "Walking's fine. My horse is outside, Though if we're all simply walking, I'll do the same." "I will ask, beyond the illusion we saw, what is everyone capable of in a general fashion? Nothing innately specific mind, just something so that we don't go into this with nothing but each other's names." He looked at them. "As you can tell, I am a warrior, generally, a mercenary by trade."
  9. Ryoma

    [Dark Fantasy] The Old Ways

Ryoma shrugged. "Well I had been planning on getting a good night's sleep, but it would seem I've a more pressing engagement." "It pays, and it can't be any more dangerous than some of the other things I've done in the last few years." "Besides, I don't think we've got a real choice in the matter."
  10. Ryoma

    [Dark Fantasy] The Old Ways

He shrugged. "This is the Town Sleeping Fort. As to whoever those two were, emissarries from a potential employer who is quite eager to hire everyone remaining in this room, and likely knowledgeable regarding each of us as well, to have orchestrated the preceding events."

    [Dark Fantasy] The Old Ways

Ryoma took it all in, and looked to Djane, and nodded. "Well, what is done is done, now." He looked to the others, and then to the door where the girls entered, made their decree, and vanished. "Well, That fills me with abit more dread than normal." "More to the fact, that they're all totally sure that we'll all show up there." He looked to the blue eyed woman and nodded. "Not particularly mad, just not exactly myself. There was a feeling of being compelled. Overrode my generally more cynical outlook." His eyes turned to Djane. "Not the worst decision I've made."

So evidently he had to set the time on the ring. That wasn't the wierdest thing he'd had to do today. "It's the twentieth day of September, in the Four hundred an sixth Republic Year." He rattled off quickly. "Oh it's not that bad, yet." the last word was added a few dozen decibels lower. whatever and whoever he'd just summoned from the Ring, she looked like a genie, and that was liable to make the next few moments extremely interesting.

Re looked at her and nodded. "I've seen them, and no, I don not know them." He shrugged. "It was in part of the haul that wasn't on the manifest I was hired to recover. I took it as spoils of battle, it seemed, "right." He looked at her his eyes narrowing sharply. "We'll do things your way. Though, I wonder, what favor you'd have in return for your advice and assistance." It wasn't an accustation, just a simple statement. No one did anything for free in this world.
  14. Ryoma

    [Dark Fantasy] The Old Ways

Ryoma pulled his gaze from the ring, snapped from the life risking curiosity, and nodded. "It's been a long day. I promise you though "interesting" always has a way of finding me. I'd wager that it already has in many ways." He offered the blue eyed woman a smiled. "Please sit, if you will, and we can discuss this bloodless way out. I've had my fill of violence today." The tiny voice wasn't forgotten, nor his curiosity. Whatever this ring was, he had a feeling that it would be of real help.

    [Dark Fantasy] The Old Ways

He looked down. A Genie. He remembered stories, but they were just that. That it could even be possible that they could contain a kernel of truth... He finished his drink and sat back. "Well Djane, I don't think I've been called that before. Ryoma will suffice." He had to know, his curiosity was piqued now. "Would you like to come out?" He didn't seem the sort to be a Master, there was an underlying softness to his voice, beneath the gruff hardness.
